An eldoret court has sentenced a woman to four years in jail for killing her husband.
Judge Reuben Nyakundi of the High Court in Eldoret determined that the prosecution had shown beyond a reasonable doubt that Abigael Yego murdered Livingston Kamau on June 17, 2019, at Moi's Bridge in Uasin Gishu County.
He said the event stemmed from an argument between the couple, who had a four-month-old child.

The judge also recognized receiving a letter from the deceased's father, Josphat Mwangi, who accepted Yego's remorse for the tragedy.
The children's office also filed a report in court, stating that the four-month-old infant had developed issues and should remain with his mother to continue nursing him while she serves her sentence.
Yego has two weeks to file an appeal.
