Controversial lawyer Miguna Miguna has criticized CJ Martha Koome for her recent remarks about not watching the news due to the distress of seeing Kenyan students from poor families unable to pay their school fees, forcing them to seek help from well-wishers on national television. Ironically, Koome believes such situations should not be occurring in Kenya at this time.

In a condemning way, Miguna expressed his surprise on how a CJ of a country like Kenya would miss to watch news. He wondered how Martha would appreciate what was going on in the society if she missed watching news.Miguna added that Kenyans were expecting her to have more filters and grit than they do for her to dispense justice.

In conclusion, Miguna informed chief justice Martha Koome that if her statement were indeed true, her words had disqualified her from being both a judge and chief justice of a Kenya.

Miguna has been one of the critics of the Kenyan government for a long period of time now. Since the reign of former president Uhuru Kenyatta up to now, the lawmaker has been a watchdog to Kenyan government.

In many occasions, the lawyer has been seen criticizing any wrong move made by either the president or his ally. During the country wide protest against bad governance, Miguna was among people who were at the forefront to ensure the end of the reign of president Ruto.
