The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has announced that motorists should expect traffic disruption at the Gitaru interchange on A8 on the Southern bypass and Western bypass on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 to Sunday, September 1, 2024

The Authority says the disruption is to pave way for the scheduled road construction of the Southeastern loop of the Gitaru interchange which is underway.

As a result, vehicles from Nakuru to Southern Bypass will turn at the Regen/Magana interchange, 3 kilometers from the Gitaru interchange, and proceed to the bypass.

Those from the Western Bypass to Nairobi will use the slip road at Kwa Magu underpass to Gitaru Market, then proceed to Mlango Soko, and the road will join A8 at Rungiri.

Vehicles from Nairobi to Ndenderu will turn at the Muguku interchange and proceed to the Western Bypass.

Meanwhile, vehicles from Southern Bypass to Nairobi will take the left turn at the slip road before making a U-turn to Nairobi via Waiyaki Way.

However, vehicles from Southern Bypass to Western Bypass and vice versa - Nakuru/Mai Mahiu to Western, Nairobi to Southern Bypass - will not be disrupted.
