Five people lost their lives instantly on Sunday in a tragic accident involving a trailer, a tractor, and a car in the Murgus area along the Eldoret-Malaba highway in Kakamega County.
According to reports, the trailer was speeding from Eldoret when it struck the rear of the tractor, causing the driver to lose control and crash into an oncoming Toyota Probox.
The five victims, all members of the same family, were returning home after attending a relative’s wedding in Busia. Two others survived the crash with injuries. Lugari Constituency OCPD Julius Melly confirmed the incident, stating that the bodies have been taken to Webuye Hospital morgue, while the injured are being treated at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret.
