President William Ruto will commence a four-day Luo Nyanza region development tour on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.

He will begin in Migori County, where he is slated to visit and launch the Kegonga cluster water project, inspect the Lower Kuja irrigation project, and launch the Ngere-Mapera road.

President Ruto will then visit Homa Bay County on Thursday, commissioning the Oyugis water project before inspecting the Homa Bay fish market.

Further, the Head of State will launch the Rusinga ring road before attending Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi's thanksgiving ceremony.

On Friday, Ruto will land in Siaya County to commission the Mageta Island solar project in Bondo before proceeding to Alego Usonga to launch the Siaya economic stimulus program market.

Similarly, he will launch the Siaya rice mill project and, later in the day, attend the thanksgiving service of Energy Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi in Ugunja.

President Ruto will wind up his tour of Odinga's backyard on Saturday. He has several activities lined up in Kisumu County, including commissioning the Kisumu Marine School within the port area.

He will then proceed to Kisumu East constituency, where he will visit the Lake Basin Development Authority rice mill at Kibos and later the Lumumba affordable housing project.

He will wind up the Nyanza tour with a visit to the Nyakach constituency to launch the Nyabondo Trauma Centre.
