Nigeria has appointed experienced German Bruno Labbadia as the country’s new coach.

He will lead the team against Benin and Rwanda in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers next month.

Labbadia has managed several top Bundesliga clubs, including VfB Stuttgart, Bayer Leverkusen, and Wolfsburg.He is the sixth German to lead the Super Eagles.

 "The NFF Executive Committee has approved the recommendation of its technical and development sub-committee to appoint Mr Bruno Labbadia as the head coach of the Super Eagles.

"The appointment is with immediate effect,” NFF general secretary Mohammed Sanusi said ina statement.
