Two people have been detained at the Kasarani police station in connection with the strange death of a man at a party.

The deceased's girlfriend and a close male acquaintance are in police custody as people of interest in the case.

According to sources familiar with the situation, the deceased, Joseph Njoroge, went on a frenzy during a party on Wednesday night and attempted to kill his fiancée but was apprehended before deciding to stab himself in the thigh.

However, Njoroge's family has subsequently denied this narrative, claiming that their kin's death was the result of foul play.

Kasarani DCIO chief Justus Ombati said they are now studying the unusual death and would request to detain the suspects for more days as they continue with their investigations.
