Bungoma County Governor Kenneth Lusaka has warned county revenue collectors involved in fraudulent activities that they will be severely punished if caught.
Speaking on Thursday in Bungoma, the county boss attributed the decline of the county’s revenue base to their corrupt activities.
He stated that the county is committed to boosting its revenue base, noting that counties could no longer solely rely on allocations from the National Government.
Lusaka also cautioned Law Enforcement Officers against overstepping their mandate by posing as revenue collectors.
