Isaac Freeman III, better known as Fatman Scoop, has passed away after collapsing onstage Friday night. The iconic musician’s tour manager shared the heartbreaking news, expressing his grief: "I am honestly lost for words… You took me all over the world and had me performing alongside you on some of the biggest and greatest stages on this planet. The things you taught me have truly made me the man I am today. Thank you so much, I love you."


Reminisce Festival, where Fatman Scoop was scheduled to perform on September 7, also mourned his loss in an Instagram post, saying, "It is with the deepest sorrow that we at Reminisce have received the devastating news of the tragic passing of the legendary Isaac Freeman III, known to us all as Fatman Scoop. This loss has left us all heartbroken."

His family later released a statement, describing him as "the laughter in our lives, a constant source of support, unwavering strength, and courage."



Waza reported that the legendary hip hop hype man was performing at Town Center Park in Hamden, Connecticut, when he appeared to suffer a medical emergency. Disturbing footage captured the moment he collapsed mid-performance.

Fatman Scoop, who collaborated with many big names in hip hop, including Missy Elliott, Mariah Carey, and Jermaine Dupri, was rushed to the hospital following the incident. Hamden Mayor Lauren Garrett asked fans to "please keep him in your thoughts and prayers."
