According to a new poll, Meghan Markle experienced a significant surge in popularity, particularly among young people, just as she and Prince Harry were touring Colombia.
The Duchess of Sussex's popularity among Gen Z (18-24 year-olds) in Britain increased by 22 points over the past four months. The latest YouGov poll, conducted from August 14 to 15 and published on August 30, reveals that nearly half (48 percent) of young Britons now like Meghan, while only 30 percent dislike her, resulting in a net approval rating of +18.
Prince William holds a favorability rating of 48 percent in this age group, with 28 percent disliking him, giving him a net approval rating of +20, just two points above Meghan. Prince Harry is liked by 47 percent of Gen Zers and disliked by 37 percent, resulting in a net approval rating of +10.

Princess Kate remains the most popular member of the Royal Family with a net score of +23. Despite Meghan’s recent boost among the youth, her overall favorability rating remains low at -40, reflecting significant dislike among older age groups (25-49, 50-64, 65+). This marks an improvement from four months ago when her rating was -43.
In May, YouGov's poll showed Meghan was liked by 36 percent of Gen Zers and disliked by 40 percent, giving her a net approval rating of -4. Her recent popularity boost coincided with her high-profile trip to Colombia.
The most popular royal is still the Princess of Wales, with a net favorability of 61 percent, followed by the Princess Royal at 60 percent and the Prince of Wales at 59 percent. Prince Andrew remains the least popular royal, with a net favorability of -80.
