The Kenya Trak Research Survey has ranked Athi River Works Development Agency second on parastatal performance with an approval rating of 72.8 percent.
The survey, conducted between July 14 and August 31, 2024, had 10,801 respondents, with 73.2 percent expressing confidence in the agency's operations.
Athi River, Works Development Agency, has been responsible for initiating projects such as the Northern Collector Tunnel and Karimenu II Dam, which are focused on attaining last-mile connectivity.
Athi River Works Development Agency Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Joseph Kamau stated that the agency will remain vigilant in constructing more infrastructure to see the rapid economic metamorphosis.
He also revealed that the agency aims to increase Nairobi residents' water coverage from 76 percent to 85 percent by 2027.

The National Irrigation Authority emerged top with an approval rating of 73.2 percent, while the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) bagged third place with an approval rating of 71.1 percent.
