A train ferrying petroleum from Mombasa to Nairobi overturned and spilled an unknown amount of fuel on a bridge near Kibwezi town in Makueni County.
Police say the train derailed while attempting to negotiate a corner near Kibwezi town on Wednesday.
Police and the Red Cross have since said nobody was injured in the train accident
Further, police are currently patrolling the area to prevent people from siphoning the fuel.
They say a significant amount of fuel has spilled, and locals are attempting to collect it.
