Police in Makueni County have arrested a middle-aged man for allegedly hacking his brother to death during the burial of another sibling at Malivini Village in Makindu.
Confirming the incident, area chief Rosemary Kathuku said the family had just returned from the morgue and was preparing to begin the funeral when the incident occurred.
The motive behind the attack remains unclear.
The suspect is in police custody, and authorities have taken the deceased's body to the Makindu Hospital morgue as the burial of the other brother continues.
