Vihiga County residents are calling on the government to address a recent wave of violent activities in the area.
Ellam Malenge, chairwoman of the Security Committee, told Citizen Digital that the gangs operate on motorcycles.
"We are urging residents to stay careful. Majengo, Chavakali, and Luanda are among the worst hit," he stated.

They further stated that an unknown group has caused chaos in the area, leaving citizens at their mercy.
"Those lads are under 18. "They have attacked several people in this community, causing life-threatening injuries," Malenge added.
Victims described their traumatic encounters with the group.
The county's security team has asked citizens for information that will aid the investigations and lead to the culprits' arrests.
