Cabinet Secretary for Education, Julius Ogamba, has reassured the public that this year’s national exams will be secure, with the government implementing stringent measures to prevent cheating.
During a tree-planting event at Siala Technical and Vocational Training Center in Rongo, Ogamba emphasized the ministry's commitment to delivering a fair and transparent examination process.
He warned that anyone caught engaging in exam malpractice would face severe consequences, including expulsion from the education sector. "We've introduced advanced security systems in this year’s exams.

If you're involved in cheating, the law will take its entire course, and you will face penalties, including being banned from working in education," Ogamba stated.
The CS called on stakeholders within the education sector to support the government in ensuring credible national exams. He also acknowledged ongoing challenges within the education system but stressed the importance of unity in overcoming them.
Ogamba highlighted the ministry's efforts to address these challenges, noting that some individuals tasked with supporting the sector instead criticize it. He urged all citizens to play their part in strengthening the education system to benefit learners.
He also reassured that preparations are underway to ensure smooth learning for Grade Nine students next year, including constructing additional classrooms to prevent disruptions.
