Police in Kakamega County have launched investigations into an incident where a woman’s headless body was found in a maize field in Ebusang'ang'a village, Butsotso Central Location, Lurambi Constituency.
According to the victim's brother, he last saw his sister on Sunday, October 6th.
"What could she have done to deserve such brutality?" he sobbed.
The gruesome murder has sparked widespread outrage in the village, with residents demanding immediate reforms to the local police force.
Fears of rising insecurity have made some parents reluctant to send their children to school in the early morning.
