Solar power kit provider M-Kopa has appointed former Nokia Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Rajeev Suri as the new board chair, effective December 1, 2024.
Suri currently serves as the Chairman of Digicel and board director at Singtel.
According to M-KOPA CEO Jesse Moore, Suri will provide critical oversight, strategic insights, and guidance to the M-Kopa leadership team.
“M-Kopa hopes Suri’s executive and board-level expertise will help the fintech innovate and expand worldwide.”

M-Kopa provides underbanked individuals with financing solutions, including smartphones, and an ongoing financial relationship through its AI credit analytics and smartphone app.
Speaking on his appointment, Suri stated that M-KOPA represents one of the most exciting fintech propositions in Africa and globally.
