A family is mourning their twins, aged one year and nine months, after they were burnt to death in a house inferno on Wednesday in Chih Ngoo village in Mwingi.
Confirming the incident, Area Chief Barnard Musili revealed that the children had been left sleeping as their mother went to work at her shop nearby.
Muesli said that Neighbours had tried to put out the fire but were unable to save the children.
The bodies of the children were taken to Mwingi Hospital mortuary.
"The cause of the fire is yet to be established," he said.
