Police officers have launched an investigation into the tragic death of 23-year-old Seth Nyakio Njeri, who was found murdered on Monday in a rented house in Biafra, Thika, Kiambu County.
Her mother, Lucy Njeri, recalls her daughter leaving their home in Kamakis on Saturday in high spirits. They stayed in touch until Sunday, but her mother grew concerned when calls and messages went unanswered afterward.
On Monday, the family received a devastating phone call from a friend, informing them of Seth’s death. When the police arrived, they discovered her naked body, which showed signs of strangulation and sexual assault.

The investigation focuses on a male friend, who allegedly may have been angered after their relationship ended. Authorities believe he may have lured Seth to the house, leading to the tragic incident.
However, her parents question this theory, pointing to the female friend Seth was visiting as potentially having more information.
Detectives have since recorded statements from the friend Seth was last seen with as part of the ongoing investigation.
