Renowned blogger Cyprian Nyakundi had earlier raised concerns about the whereabouts of outspoken blogger Francis Gaitho. Nyakundi reported that Gaitho's family and lawyers were unaware of his current location.

On Tuesday night, Nyakundi revealed via his X account that 10 police officers had surrounded Gaitho's Westlands home for unknown reasons. By Wednesday morning, Nyakundi announced that Gaitho's whereabouts remained unknown.

''Francis Gaitho's family and lawyers are yet to know where he was taken,'' he posted on X. Gaitho has been a strong critic of the Kenya Kwanza regime.

He uses his social media pages to advocate for better governance and call out prominent leaders. The Former Thika Town MP aspirant turned his focus towards digital activism where he calls out the government on accountability issues.

However, some of his posts have been deemed controversial because they generated equal amounts of admiration and criticism. He was charged a few months ago with disseminating misleading information and engaging in online harassment over the supposed murders in Githurai and Rongai, as well as the disappearance of people.

He was released on Sh30,000 bail after appearing before Robinson Ondieki, Senior Principal Magistrate of Milimani, and denying the two charges of computer misuse.
