Residents of Eastleigh, Nairobi, are calling for the removal of the growing piles of garbage along Malewa Road in their neighborhood. Photos shared with Waza News show trash lining the road and even spilling onto its surface, making it difficult for both motorists and pedestrians, especially at night.

Residents also complain of the foul odor from the decaying waste, which has become a constant issue in the area. "Most of the illegal dumping happens at night when people are asleep," explained Hamisi Daudi, an Eastleigh resident. "People here are worried about their health due to the rotting garbage and overpowering smell."

They are urging authorities to ensure regular garbage collection and are also requesting the installation of CCTV cameras to identify and deter offenders. Additionally, residents are encouraging the community to work together to prevent illegal dumping and littering.
