Siaya Governor James Orengo joined family, friends, and a host of notable guests to celebrate the wedding of his son, Michael Orengo, to Samantha Luseno.

The couple exchanged vows in a vibrant white wedding ceremony held at ACK All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi on Saturday, marking their union a year after dowry negotiations were finalized between their families.

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka took to social media to congratulate the newlyweds, sharing, “I was pleased to join my friends, Siaya Governor James Orengo and Betty Murungi, in celebrating Michael and Samantha’s wedding today.”

Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo and other distinguished guests, including former Jubilee leaders David Murathe and Raphael Tuju, also extended their best wishes to the couple.

The ceremony followed a traditional dowry event in Vihiga, hosted by Vihiga Governor Wilber Ottichilo, where families honored their cultural heritage.

The dowry negotiations, known as nyombo in the Luo community, celebrated the unity between the Orengo and Luseno families, with prominent leaders such as former Prime Minister Raila Odinga in attendance.

This union, blending tradition and modern celebration, brings together two families with deep roots in Kenyan politics and cultural heritage.

Congratulations poured in, with guests wishing the couple a lifetime of joy and unity.
