The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has summoned Moi University Vice-Chancellor Isaac Kosgei over allegations of corruption tied to fraudulent infrastructural projects valued at Ksh.2.19 billion.

The summons are part of ongoing investigations into widespread claims of misappropriation and theft of public funds at the institution. Prof. Kosgei has been directed to appear in person at the EACC’s North Rift regional offices in Eldoret on Wednesday, November 20, at 9 a.m., for an interview and to record a statement.

He will be accompanied by Chief Accountant Egla Samoei, Head of Procurement Wilson Bett, and Head of the Development Unit Moses Kipkulei, who have also been summoned.

In addition to being accused of overseeing alleged graft within the university, Prof. Kosgei faces accusations of interfering with investigations by obstructing the anti-graft agency and failing to submit critical documents despite repeated requests.

EACC spokesperson Eric Ngumbi stated that Prof. Kosgei has been instructed to bring several original documents, including minutes from 18 special meetings, during his appearance on Wednesday.
