President William Ruto announced the cancellation of the JKIAA PPP transaction and the KETRACO PPP contract with Adani .

During his State of the Nation address in parliament, Ruto credited the decision to cancel the deals on new information regarding corruption and bribery allegations against the Adani group.

"I have stated in the past, and I reiterate today, that in the face of undisputed evidence or credible information on corruption, I will not hesitate to take decisive action. " Said Ruto.

According to documents from the indictment against the group by the USA, Gautam Adani is accused of paying over $250 million in bribes to Indian officials.

The president asked those in charge to begin the process of seeking alternative partners.
