A 31-year-old man was detained on Sunday after allegedly trying to hijack a domestic flight in Mexico and redirect it to the United States.
Authorities reported the incident, which led to an emergency landing at Guadalajara International Airport.
The Airbus A320, operated by Volaris, departed from León, Guanajuato, at approximately 7:17 a.m. local time, en route to Tijuana in northwest Mexico.
