Police in Kiambaa, Kiambu County, discovered the body of a 28-year-old woman on Saturday morning in the Kamutaro area along the Ruaka-Banana Road.
The discovery was reported to Karuri Police Station by residents around 7 a.m., prompting officers to visit the scene. The deceased was identified as Jackline Nyambura Mungai. Her body was found partially undressed, with no visible injuries.

According to a police report accessed by Waza News, her head was tightly wrapped with a blue t-shirt, covering her mouth and nose, suggesting a possible attempt to suffocate her.

Crime scene investigators processed the area, and the body was transported to Kihara Level IV Hospital mortuary, awaiting a postmortem examination.
Although the circumstances of her death remain unclear, initial investigations revealed that Nyambura had been living with a 44-year-old man, Nashon Kuria Wanjiru, for about four years in a rental apartment located approximately 200 meters from where her body was found.
