On Thursday evening, suspected bandits killed three people, including two women, along the Tot-Koloa road in Elgeyo Marakwet County. The victims were riding a motorbike after leaving Koloa Market when they were ambushed near the market.
The assailants reportedly opened fire on the motorbike before fleeing the scene. The two women died instantly, while the motorbike rider managed to escape with gunshot wounds but was later found dead.
Security agencies have initiated an investigation into the attack and are working to identify and capture the suspects responsible.
