A  road accident on the Londiani-Muhoroni highway claimed four lives and left 56 others seriously injured on Monday at 9:30 PM.

The collision involved a passenger bus traveling toward Nairobi and a truck heading to Muhoroni. According to a police report, the bus veered off the road, crashing into a nearby sugarcane plantation.

Among the deceased were one male and three female passengers who died instantly. The injured victims were rushed to St. Vincent Mission Hospital, Koru Mission Hospital, and Muhoroni Subcounty Hospital for emergency medical care.

Four critically injured individuals were later referred to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital (JOOTRH) in Kisumu for specialized treatment.

Meanwhile, the bodies of the deceased were transferred to St. Vincent de Paul Hospital Mortuary, where they await identification by their next of kin and an official autopsy.
