The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) is currently looking into a reported car theft that took place on Sunday during the World Cup qualifier match between Kenya and Gabon at Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi.
According to a statement released on Monday, the car owner parked his vehicle along Kisauni Road behind Nairobi West Hospital before heading to the stadium to watch the game. The man, who owns a silver Toyota IST with the registration number KBN 093B, parked the car at 3:40 pm before going to the fan-parked stadium.
When he returned shortly after 7 pm, he found the parking spot empty and immediately reported the incident at Akila Police Station in Lang'ata. Authorities have since launched an investigation to track down the stolen vehicle.

In a separate case, police in Juja are investigating the theft of a white Toyota Axio, which was taken from a residential home in the Matangi area near Rurii Primary School, Kimbo. The car's owner had parked it outside their house on Saturday night, but upon waking up the next morning, discovered it was missing, according to the DCI.
