Jaguar Wright is facing legal action from singer Brian McKnight after making a series of serious accusations against him. Known for her history of sharing controversial and often unverified claims about public figures, Wright alleged that McKnight had abused his ex-wife, Julie McKnight, and had hired sex workers specifically to abuse them. She also claimed that Julie McKnight is a relative of hers. According to TMZ, Brian McKnight has filed a defamation lawsuit in response to the allegations.
Brian McKnight has firmly denied the allegations made by Jaguar Wright and stated that he had no knowledge of any familial connection between Wright and his ex-wife, Julie McKnight.
Wright, a Philadelphia-based singer known for her past performances on MTV Unplugged and The Roots Come Alive, has developed a reputation for making bold and often unverified claims about high-profile celebrities. Last year, she appeared on Piers Morgan Uncensored, where she openly criticized music power couple Jay-Z and Beyoncé, further fueling her controversial presence in the public eye.
Wright described Jay as a "monster" who "starts little fires everywhere," and said that she is owed "vindication" for what he's supposedly done to her and others.
“This has been a fist of tyranny that has been punching through our culture and society for decades,” Wright said at the time. “It must stop. ... They're a nasty little couple. They do nasty things. Keeping people against their will, putting people on planes while they're unconscious."
During that same appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Jaguar Wright also made allegations against music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs. After the episode aired, some of her remarks were edited out from the versions available online. In response to the backlash, Piers Morgan issued a public apology, acknowledging that giving Wright a platform had allowed the spread of baseless and potentially harmful claims.
