Three individuals were arraigned on Monday at the Siaya High Court in connection with the gruesome murder of Willis Ayieko, the former Human Resource Manager at Wells Fargo. The murder occurred in October 2024.

The suspects Victor Ouma Okoth alias Sisco, Samuel Onyango alias Jaboda, and Dancun Ochieng appeared before Justice David Kemei to face murder charges.

Prosecutors accused the trio of orchestrating the abduction and brutal killing of Ayieko in a premeditated attack.

Two witnesses testified during the session, including government pathologist Dr. Johansen Oduor and a state-protected witness. Dr. Oduor revealed that Ayieko succumbed to severe head trauma. The decomposed body, discovered five days after his disappearance, also had missing tissue, suggesting signs of torture.

The key witness, under protection, told the court that he was paid Ksh.9,000 to assist with transport during the incident. He claimed Sisco had requested a motorcycle, citing a vague job overseen by a man known as Champee, now deceased and believed to be one of the masterminds behind the murder.

The witness recounted meeting Sisco and Champee, who later changed clothes and returned armed with rifles. They proceeded to a homestead where a funeral was underway. The witness stayed outside while the suspects abducted a man, believed to be Ayieko, whose head was covered and hands bound.

Later that night, the witness transported Sisco to Kisumu to withdraw cash from multiple M-Pesa shops. By morning, Sisco returned to Dudi and announced plans to relocate to Nairobi.

The witness said he was unaware of the murder until his arrest. Ayieko’s body was later found in a shallow stream near the Siaya-Kakamega border.
