Equity Bank has been trending for all the wrong reasons since Friday last week. Kimuzi, a blogger, took to his official Twitter account again, wondering why one of the prominent banks in Kenya, Equity Bank, does not value its esteemed customers.

The blogger questioned why Equity Bank was not taking any measures following the reported cases by Equity Bank customers. Mr. Kimuzi alleged that on Tuesday, 7, 2022, a customer's Equity account was swept clean of Ksh. 240,000.

The fresh accusation follows many days without a word from James Mwangi, CEO of Equity Bank, or any other top bank official.

Several people have sent screenshots as evidence of how they have lost money through Equity Bank, which has been made public to Kenyans through Twitter.

Professor Felix Musau also accused Equity Bank of having the worst customer care service through his official Twitter account.

Through Kimuzi's Twitter account, it's evident that the alleged irregularities by Equity Bank are affecting not only Kenya but also the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

Cyprian Nyakundi has accused local media of avoiding highlighting the fraud of Equity Bank. Nyakundi alleged that the local media is in fear of losing advertising money. Cyprian clarified that Equity Bank should carry its cross and avoid using advertisers to get sanitized.
