A court in Nairobi has approved the request by agriculture cs linturi and auctioneers' bid to evict Maryanne Keitany, the mp for the aldai constituency, from her home in Runda, nairobi.

The two former lovebirds have been involved in a lengthy court battle over the division of property and the legality of their marriage. The eviction notice comes months after the court of appeal threw out the kaitanys case, and she was seeking an order to block the agriculture cs from evicting her from the home they shared.

However, the court of appeals judges Hannah Okwengu, Jamilla Mohammed, and Mbogholi Msagha ruled that her application lacked merit because she had obtained similar orders in a divorce case before the Milimani magistrate court.
A statement released by the judges during the ruling notes, "As the applicant has to establish both the arguability and the nugatory aspects, the applicant has failed to establish the twin limbs for consideration in an application. The upshot is that the application dated February 10, 2022, is without merit and is, at this moment, dismissed with costs,"
keitany faulted the judges saying that she invested kshs 71 million into the construction of the property and furnishing it, adding that Linturi did not contribute a dime.
According to Keitany, her estranged husband reportedly previously used the property as collateral for a loan without her consent. There is a risk of him alienating, selling, or further using the property as security for a loan.
