The first lady Rachel Ruto has called on farmers to prepare their farms as God will bring rainfall. she said this after holding prayers to chase away the drought the country is experiencing at the moment.

Mrs Ruto expressed confidence on Tuesday during the National Prayer Service at Nyayo Stadium that God had heard the nation's cries about the ongoing drought and that the situation would soon change.

Rachel ruto said that she knows that the mighty Creator that we have prayed to in the city of Nairobi today is the Creator that has heard our prayers, here and in counties adding that We know that the counties are because of this drought, especially the ASAL areas... today we have prayed, we can see the clouds have formed, and we know the rainfall is coming. Prepare your farms, as the clergy has advised, because the rains are on their way.

The First Lady, who thanked President William Ruto's regime for holding the prayer day, stated that the government was deeply concerned about the well-being of all its citizens.

She urged everyone in attendance to pray for the Kenya Kwanza administration to succeed in its plans for the country. They are adding that the president thinks about kenyans every day, and God has given him an excellent strategy for this nation.

Like many east African countries, the country is experiencing the worst drought in over four decades. The northern part of the country has it worse. The government has initiated several aid programmes to help create relief for the people,e in the affected regions.

Rachel rutos' comments come when the Meteorological Department has announced that the weather conditions will remain hot and dry. The department added that the conditions are set to stay the same in the coming weeks.
