Even as DCI chief Mohammed Amin claimed it had recorded statements from police officers associated with the former Cabinet Secretary, a search took place at Matiangi's office.

Amin stated that the organization would examine the video to verify Matiangi's claims regarding a claimed raid on his residence on February 8.

The DCI director added that the organization would bring legal action against anyone guilty of misleading the public.

"After our investigation is complete, we will take measures if any security agency officers participated in any unauthorized operations or if any false material was purposefully released to the public," he declared.

Amin emphasized that the agency's ongoing inquiries into claims of a raid on Matiangi's residence have made significant progress.

Amin added that after a thorough examination, the organization concluded that no police station had received any complaints about the alleged raid.

According to him, "through our efforts, we have recorded testimonies from the VIP police sent to Matiangi's residence on the relevant night, as well as statements from the private security company manning the property."

He continued, saying that the agency has since determined that a Subaru with the license plate KDK 488L that is seen close to Matiangi's house belonged to Inter Management Group Limited and was being operated at the time by a man named Peter Gacheru.

Gacheru is an Inter Management Group Limited director and lives next door to the former CS in the gated neighbourhood of Karen Ngong View Estate.

Amin reported that "advocate Kethi Kilonzo acting on behalf of Peter Gacheru has validated the ownership data in a letter to DCI complete with current copies of the insurance and logbook."

He continued by saying that the organization would keep getting information from all parties concerned.

He said that we take all accusations seriously and keep working hard to expose the truth.

According to Amin, the DCIs dedication conducts fair investigations and following the law.
