Notorious comedian Eric Omondi has adamantly said that he will now take his rallies denouncing the status of the nation's economy to State House despite being detained and charged for unlawfully gathering outside Parliament on Tuesday.

Omondi urged Kenyans to accompany him to State House even though there is no guarantee that they will be given an audience with President William Ruto, who he claims seems to be unaware of the difficulties that Kenyans are currently experiencing, in a statement to the media on Wednesday after being released on a Ksh.10,000 cash bail.

As we proceeded to Parliament, he said, "Tulikosa Speaker Moses Wetangula, and chances are tunaeza enda State House na tukose President but tutarudi tu."

If you're a Kenyan looking for work and have a resume, carry it. Get an official letter from the landlord and come if you still need to pay your rent. Go to your child's head teacher and request a stamped letter if you are a parent with unpaid fees for your child. They will be taking the items to the State House.

Omondi stated that he is ready to risk his life if it means that Kenyans' hardship will be front and centre in the nation's affairs due to his planned protests.

"It is worthwhile to fight for this cause. If necessary, it is a battle worth dying for, if necessary. So be it if my death makes it possible for the voiceless to be heard "declared the president-elect of Comedy Africa.

Omondi urged President Ruto and his government to accept a 50% wage cut for the following three months and lay aside the money raised to alleviate the nation's economic imbalances while stressing that his protests are not politically motivated.

The joker stated, "I'm asking the political elite to take a 50% salary reduction for the next three months, from the President down to the MCA; tushikane kama Wakenya, hii pesa tuweke pamoja alafu tukae chini tujue tutapeleka wapi."

"This is a request, not a political statement, and it will soon spark a revolution. Only my lawyer and my brother, who has come to save me, are standing behind me."
