President William Ruto has responded to claims made by the azimio la Umoja leader raila odinga, demanding that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) opens the servers for transparency.
Azimio leader raila odinga is calling for the IEBC to open the commission servers so that kenyans can know what happened during the 2022 presidential elections. Odinga claims that he won the elections after getting 58% compared to ruto, who got 42% of the votes cast.
President ruto says that the IEBC servers were opened long ago and that kenyans have access to it if they want to see what's in there.
"The servers were open when we all went to the polling station and when we all were identified biometrically and each and every one of us was given a vote to cast," said the President.

"It is also true that when the counting was done and the results posted in the portal, the servers were open. When the IEBC was tallying results at Bomas, when the matter went for validation in court and when the court made a determination of the last general elections, the servers were open." Ruto added
The head of state said that former prime minister Odinga was now intentionally misleading Kenyans by claiming that the IEBC servers were still inaccessible.
"To now turn around and pretend that servers to be opened at this point in time is to take us for granted, is to believe that there are fools in Kenya. It is an insult to our collective intelligence. It is an insult to our democracy and I will inform you that there is a big shortage of fools in Kenya," he said.
"You can fool all the people some time, and you can fool some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time."
