A rally racer named Maxine Wahome will face the law for killing her late ex-boyfriend and fellow rally driver Assad Khan.

Tuesday, when Wahome appeared before Magistrate Bernard Ochoi, the new development was made known during the discussion of her case. Maxine will be arraigned in court on Wednesday to answer charges of murder

"The prosecution has stated that the DPP has decided to prosecute the respondent with a count of murder. He has also informed the court that the respondent needed to appear before the high court today practically for directions from the high court judge in light of that application." Judge Bernard Ochoi pointed out.


Similarly, the DPP has requested that the suspect be held in the Kilimani police station for a mental assessment before entering a plea.

On December 12, Maxine was apprehended at Kilimani Police Station when Asad Khan's younger brother Adil reported an alleged assault.

According to testimony in court, when police arrived on the scene, they saw household items and blood all over the floor and stairwell.


After closer inspection, The court statement stated that two-door window pane glasses and one window pane glass had been damaged.

After spending two nights in detention, the court ordered her release on a Ksh. 100,000 cash bail after learning that she was fully working with the authorities.
