The Azimio South African Chapter claims an assassination attempt is being made against Raila Odinga and his daughter. According to the Azimio chapter, they intend to petition the International Criminal Court to investigate the incident thoroughly.

The leader of Azimio, Raila Odinga, spoke extensively yesterday and said that his daughter had been the target of an attack by the police. According to Raila Odinga, there were legitimate security concerns during the protests.


The Azimio South African Chapter has made it known that President Ruto must answer for crimes against humanity. They are asking the International Criminal Court to investigate what happened yesterday and for Ruto to be fully imprisoned.



The leader of the Azimio party, Raila Odinga, has announced that protests will go on across the country despite attempts to have him or his daughter killed. Given their current plight, Kenyans eagerly await news on Azimio's fate.

"We call on the International Criminal Court of justice to investigate this situation promptly since we cannot trust the Kenyan Police to undertake an independent inquiry," they argued with the Hague-based court.

A few minutes prior, Raila claimed that his daughter Winnie was the subject of government targeting.
"My daughter Winnie has received hostility from the Ruto regime regularly, and today they wasted no time destroying her vehicle.


"We refuse to be intimidated and such dishonorable behavior should not be permitted. Ruto and his colleagues ought to feel bad about themselves "Raila said, feeling furious.



On Thursday, March 16, Raila stated at a rally in Nakuru that purported attempts on his life would not stop him.

The former premier once said, "You can kill Raila Odinga physically, but you cannot kill his principles or what he stands for.
By publication, police had not yet responded to the allegations of an assassination attempt against the opposition leader and his daughter.
