Siaya Senator Oburu Odinga's son Jaoko Oburu has made the cut in selecting a key job in the county.

Jaoko has been shortlisted as coordinator of partnerships and resource mobilization, according to a list reviewed by Star.

The list states that Jaoko Oburu must appear for interviews at the county education offices on April 13 at 5:00 p.m.

Jaoko was the director of roads and public works for Siaya County during the previous administration, which former governor Cornell Rasanga ran.

In preparation for the 2013 elections, Jaoko assumed more political positions.

He was a young group member that established the Friends of Raila organization. He was a member of the group that established Azimio Young Turks in 2022.

If accepted, his job description will involve consolidating the county voice and contributing to the successful design and execution of programs funded by outside resources.

The position also aims to strengthen connections between county governments and investment prospects, among other things.
