On Thursday, President William Ruto began a three-day development trip to the counties of Kisii, Nyamira, and Migori.

The President announced various development measures on his first day in the area.

The President oversaw the start-up opening of a computer and a water supply and purification facility lab in Kisii County. He watched the beginning of an affordable housing initiative and the commissioning of road projects in Nyamira.

The President urged political leaders to cooperate in providing services to the public.

President Ruto warned the opposition to stop the chaos and destruction of property.

"I have a responsibility to defend all Kenyans' rights from all dangers. I owe it to business owners around the nation whose properties were vandalized and plundered by demonstrators enlisted by careless and irresponsible politicians."

To meet the populace's needs, President Ruto stated that the government is committed to improving the county and Kisii's water supply and sewage system.

He commissioned the Kisii Town Water Supply Project, the Kegati Water Treatment Plant in Kisii County, which will boost the plant's capacity from 6,500 to 27,000 cubic meters per day.

Afterwards, he ordered that the roads connecting Gekano, Rigoma, Amabuko, Ngenyi, Manga, Motemumwamu, Gekano, Girango, and Muturmesi, be upgraded to bitumen standards.

The Kisii National Polytechnic Digital Empowerment Center, which will give young people the digital skills they need to compete in the online job market, was also formally inaugurated by him.

The President said that 10,000 inexpensive homes would be built by the federal government and Nyamira County, providing jobs for young people in Sironga.

Cabinet Secretaries Eliud Owalo (ICT), Ezekiel Machogu (Education), and Zachariah Njeru accompanied the President (Lands). Additional leaders included MPs and MCAs in addition to Governors Simba Arati (Kisii) and Amos Nyaribo (Nyamira).
