On Thursday, March 30, several Pwani University students were injured when their bus overturned along the Nairobi-Naivasha Highway in the Kayole area.

According to reports, the bus was carrying over 30 students on their way to Eldoret to compete in sports.

Students were also filmed assisting their classmates from the wreckage following the accident.

Those who had suffered severe injuries were also rushed to a nearby medical facility for treatment.

The bus collided with a 14-seater matatu shortly after 11 a.m. before flipping over.

According to preliminary reports, the accident was caused by the bus's brake failure. However, this has yet to be confirmed.

Following the incident, police and emergency responders arrived to restore traffic flow after a snarl-up on the highway.

Drivers on the route were also advised to be cautious as they approached the area.
