Workneh Gebeyehu took to his tweeter page to congratulate the two officials. For their readiness to engage in talks and iron out their differences.

I congratulate H.E. President @WilliamsRuto & Hon. @RailaOdinga for their readiness to engage in dialogue to resolve differences on national issues through peaceful means & preserve #Kenya's unity & constitutional order. Hongera wa Kenya!

This tweet came in just hours after azimio la Umoja coalition leader Raila Odinga called an end to the two-week-long anti-government protests. Raila, the opposition leader, said Ruto's proposed bipartisan strategy would be the same to determine whether the protests would resume.

“Should there be no meaningful engagement or response from Ruto to our counteroffer, we are set to resume our demonstrations after one week,” the Azimio One Kenya Coalition leader said.
