The Ministry of Health has maintained that the Linda Mama programme for pregnant mothers stays active and accessible in all institutions nationwide.

This follows conflicting accounts that it was dissolved following the Kenya Kwanza Government assumed control of the nation.

Mrs Tesse Mudavadi, the wife of prime cabinet Minister Musalia Mudavadi, spoke on World Health Day at Jacaranda Hospital in Ruaka Kiambu County, imploring all women in labour to take advantage of the circumstance and disregard rumours claiming that the programme was no longer in place.

While unveiling ultramodern screening equipment for the facility, Mrs Mudavadi stated that Kenya had ensured its people live healthy lives.

She praised the hospital's decision and urged the hundreds of women seeking help to feel liberated as they underwent the procedure.

Ahadi Kenya CEO Stanley Kamau, who is involved in the effort, stated that those wanting consultations and examinations would be given for free until they fulfilled.

Kamau also urged them to make maximum use of the Linda Mama Card and to register for NHIF cards, which are available for free.

Azimio la Umoja coalition leaders claimed the programme was no longer functional. They wanted the programme reinstated in the demands issued to president ruto and the kenya kwanza government.
