Kisii police recovered a four-day-old baby who had been abandoned in a restroom within the Rioma Catholic Church property Marani.

Passers-by heard the "Miracle" baby girl wailing inside a latrine on Tuesday at about 2.30 pm, prompting a rapid response from Rioma Police officers, according to Kisii County Commander Charles Kases.

To save the tiny Angel, the cops had to dismantle the toilet, which bore fruit carefully.

The infant was discovered writhing in pain in the lavatory, wrapped in ragged rags but otherwise unhurt.

Locals complimented the officers for braving the unpleasant stench and heat of the human waste, which the baby also managed to avoid.

After that, the girl was brought to Marani Level 4 Hospital for emergency treatment.

The cops and their DCI counterparts have increased their hunt for the baby's mother in the vicinity.

In other news, a human leg was discovered this morning floating in the nairobi river at the korogocho slums. Residents of the slums woke up to the shock of the severed human part floating in the river along with hundreds of garbage pieces.

The leg was retrieved from the river, and it appeared to have been underwater for an extended period due to the colour of the severed leg. The rest of the body is yet to be found, and it is still unclear how the leg got into the river.

However, residents in the area say it is not uncommon to find body parts in the river. They claim that people get murdered and get thrown in the river.

At the time of the incident, police said that they were launching an investigation into the incident and were asking for leads that could lead to the victim's identification.
