Police in Nairobi's Mwiki district have launched a search for a teenager who stabbed his father to death during a home disagreement.
The missing youngster is a Form Three student at a nearby school, and police said they want to question him to find out why he killed his 49-year-old stepfather on Tuesday night.
Neighbours transported the corpse to Mwiki Modern Hospital, but he was transferred to St Francis Hospital once the depth and severity of the chest wounds were revealed.
He later died in the hospital while receiving treatment.

Later, police were called to the hospital and went to an apartment where the dead shared a residence with the suspected assailant.
They discovered a bloodied kitchen knife in the house and believed it was used by the 16-year-old. It was preserved as evidence in the investigation.
According to police, there were blood stains in the house, cutlery, and window panes. A television and a table were also smashed, implying that a fight in residence resulted in the death.
Neighbours told police that the youngster and the dead father had been bickering in the residence before it became physical and tragic.
Because there were only the two of them in the house, the reason for the quarrel was not immediately evident.
Meanwhile, a 21-year-old man was stabbed to death on Tuesday after a quarrel in Nairobi's Eastleigh neighbourhood.
Mohamed Bulle Jamah's body was discovered on Jam Street, stabbed in the back.
According to police, an assailant known to the deceased committed the murder following an argument and fled.
A search for the offender has subsequently been initiated.
Police have processed the site, and friends have been allowed to transport the body to a nearby mosque for a planned funeral while the hunt for the culprit, known as Kadafi, continues.
The attack's motivation is unknown at this time.
