The body of an unnamed middle-aged woman was discovered wrapped in a suitcase and left outside rental properties in the Kamakis district of Ruiru, Kiambu County.
The body, which was still fresh, had wounds on the right side of her face and the right eye, according to investigators.
As a result, police believe the victim was murdered somewhere, and his body was dumped in the region last night.
“Nobody has been able to identify the body; the body of the deceased looks like she was in her early twenties. There are no serious physical injuries apart from a slight one on the right side of her face. She may have been crushed on the wall,” Ruiru DCIO Justus Ombati told Citizen Digital.

Residents in the area, led by Gikumari Chief Joseph Ndwiga, criticized the act as barbaric.
“We have never seen anything like this around here, we are very shocked and we ask relevant authorities to take up the matter for proper and conclusive investigation.” Ndwiga said.
Officers from Ruiru Police Station collected evidence and details that will aid in identifying the deceased, which was then sent to City Mortuary for preservation pending autopsy.
In other news, Kisii police recovered a four-day-old baby abandoned in a restroom within the Rioma Catholic Church property Marani.
Passers-by heard the "Miracle" baby girl wailing inside a latrine on Tuesday at about 2.30 pm, prompting a rapid response from Rioma Police officers, according to Kisii County Commander Charles Kases.
To save the tiny Angel, the cops had to dismantle the toilet, which bore fruit carefully. The infant was discovered writhing in pain in the lavatory, wrapped in ragged rags but otherwise unhurt.
Locals complimented the officers for braving the unpleasant stench and heat of the human waste, which the baby also managed to avoid.
