He added that they have taken action and shut down Mr. Ezekiel Odero's prayer center.
Additionally, the Commissioner revealed that a total of 22 suspects, suspected to be accomplices of Pastor Paul Mackenzie, were arrested during a widespread operation aimed at rogue pastors associated with the Shakahola Forest fatalities.
In an online video that is circulating, Pastor Odero was seen arriving for questioning in his white Lexus LX570 before being escorted to the police station in Kilifi County by law enforcement.
Pastor Odero's arrest followed his visit to the Kilifi DCI headquarters on Tuesday, April 25, where he recorded a statement.
Sources previously stated that the police had visited Milele Funeral Home in Mavueni, Kilifi County, which is located near Pastor Ezekiel's church, to investigate claims of cult activities on the Coast.
Furthermore, Johnson Amani Kea, the CEO of Milele Funeral Home, confirmed that law enforcement authorities had questioned them about the number of corpses received from Pastor Odero's church.
The CEO went on to say that the funeral home did not, contrary to what had been claimed, file a complaint with the police but rather helped them with their inquiries.
