On May 20, 2022, the Jubilee party plans to convene a Special National Delegates Conference.

According to a notification issued by party leader and former President Uhuru Kenyatta, the conference's agenda is to review, establish, and approve party policies; hear a progress report from the National Executive Committee; and discuss and support any other topics.

The seminar is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at the Bomas of Kenya.

After groups from East African Legislative Assembly MP Kanini Kega and former Ndaragwa MP Jeremiah Kioni disagreed over party leadership previously this week, the party was directed to leave the building they currently use as party headquarters.

Kioni and MP Kega are fighting for control of the party, with Kioni allegedly unwilling to disregard his position as party Secretary-General to make room for MP Kega.

On February 9, the Jubilee Party's National Executive Council made a move, replacing Kioni with Kega. The Registrar of Political Parties authorized the regulations, but the Political Parties Dispute Tribunal overturned them.

Kioni, along with the party's Vice Chairperson David Murathe and National Treasurer Kagwe Gichohi, had been suspended for their poor conduct of the political outfit's business.
