Senator Ledama Olekina has accused the Kenya Police of colluding with the Kenya Kwanza government to settle political scores instead of acting independently. The Narok County Senator went on to suggest that the National Police Service(NPS) be renamed the Kenya Kwanza police service and that a new national police service be established.

"I think we should just change the @NPSOfficial_KE to be called Kenya Kwanza Police Service and we start our own national police service! You are supposed to be independent not to be used by any regime to settle their political scores!" stated Ledama.

Some Kenyans have replied to Ledama's comment by asking him if he forgot that the same Police Service was used to unfairly target and humiliate allies of President William Ruto when he was DP. Some rhetorically asked Ledama whether the police force during those days should have been changed to Handshake/Azimio Police Force.

The next course of action remains uncertain as we wait to see if the Kenya Police will respond to Senator Ledama Olekina's accusations.
